Globus has introduced a whole host of new and unforgettable experiences in its North America tour collection for 2013, from husky racing and the aurora borealis in Alaska to the most spectacular natural wonders of the American west.
Six new tours have been added to an already packed selection of premium holidays covering the length and breadth of the United States and Canada – a total of 50 different itineraries, priced from as little as $1679* per person twin share for the eight-day Canyon Country Adventure.
Among the highlights is a new tour timed with Alaska’s legendary Iditarod, an epic dog-sled race across 1800km of snowy wilderness. The new eight-day tour Alaska’s Iditarod combines some of the most spectacular landscapes of the frozen north with opportunities to meet the sled teams and their huskies before witnessing the start of the 50-team race.
Priced from $1999* per person twin share, the tour departs Anchorage on February 25, 2013, and can be combined with a four-day Northern Lights add-on, providing a rare chance to see the aurora borealis at one of its most active locations in the skies around Fairbanks. The add-on is priced from $840* per person twin share and combines viewing opportunities by night with sight-seeing by day, including a return journey to Anchorage on the famous Alaska Railroad.
Other highlight additions to the Globus 2013 program include the 15-day tour Exploring America’s Great Parks, a grand circuit of six states and their most revered national parks, priced from $3109* per person twin share. Each day brings a new unforgettable landscape, from the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Monument Valley to Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and Grand Teton.
The new tour is just one of 18 itineraries that take advantage of the Globus GoParks partnership with the US National Park Foundation. For each passenger on a GoParks tour, Globus makes a contribution to the foundation’s efforts to preserve America’s National Parks. In return, Globus travellers gain access to exclusive experiences and accommodation inside many of the key parks.
Other new tours in 2013 include the nine-day A Taste of the Pacific Northwest (from $2379* per person twin share), the nine-day Northern California’s Finest (from $2169*), the 10-day America’s Musical Heritage (from $2359*) and the 10-day Great Cities of the East Coast (from $2499*).
The new Globus United States and Canada brochure also features a selection of Latin America holidays in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, the Galápagos Islands, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. They include a new itinerary, the eight-day Peru Splendors (from $2496*) combining Machu Picchu and Lima with add-on options to Easter Island and the Galápagos Islands.
