VENTURE BOOSTS EUROPE
SMALL coach touring through “backroads” France, apartment accommodation in London and Paris and tours of Paris on an electric bicycle are highlights in a new 68-page Europe brochure from Venture Holidays.
Managing director Robert Mackay said that the small coach tours would give appeal to travellers wanting a more personal experience of regional France.
There are nearly 20 departures of these tours taking in extensive areas of Normandy and Brittany or an itinerary visiting the palaces and châteaux of the Loire.
The Paris Charms and Secrets tour by bicycle is an effortless 20km ride taking in Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, a private garden in the middle of St Germain and many other lesser-known attractions.
New special interest tours include a choice of itineraries featuring the battlefield of World War I and the That’s Amore cooking class which specialises in pasta dishes like ravioli, gnocchi and fettuccini.
Venture’s 2011 programs also make use of Europe’s wonderful rail services, pointing out that rail travellers avoid expensive airport transfers, airport taxes, lengthy check-in queues and luggage collection.
Mr Mackay says that the full range of Eurostar Eurail and country passes are no longer just for backpackers, adding that rail means travelling from city centre to city centre, extensive on-board facilities and on-time schedules.
