The Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite Valley has
completed its $896,000 refurbishment of 24
cottages. The cottages, which were built in
1928, were restored to reflect the style of
1925-1942. Designers opted for wooden
furniture, hand crafted textiles and patterned
curtains to reflect the era, but incorporated modern accessory items –
like integrated power outlets and USB ports.
