Leigh Clifford will step down as chairman of Qantas in October.
Qantas chairman Leigh Clifford will retire in October and be replaced by current board member Richard Goyder.
The national carrier said Clifford “led the board through one of the most transformative periods in the airline’s 98 year history and to record levels of profitability, employee engagement and satisfaction”.
His replacement, Goyder, joined the Qantas board in November 2017 after serving as ceo of Wesfarmers Limited for 12 years.
