Contiki’s latest Australia & New Zealand brochure features new tours, festivals and day trips
27 February, 2012: Following overwhelming response to its inaugural combined brochure, Contiki Holidays www.contiki.com.au has launched the 2012/13 Australia & New Zealand brochure offering your clients new tours, festivals and day trips. Jam-packed with a comprehensive range of close-to-home holidays, the brochure features for the first time tours to the legendary Splendour in the Grass music festival, and to some of Australia’s biggest Autumn and Spring Racing Carnival events.
Fiona Hunt, Managing Director, Contiki, said: “To help celebrate Contiki’s 50th Birthday, we wanted to offer 18-35s an even greater array of fantastic travel options to select from, and amongst the many new itinerary additions, we are launching a tour to the iconic music festival, Splendour in the Grass.
“As the leader in youth travel, Contiki has designed the 2012/13 program to capture the most sought-after destinations that young travellers want to explore. Legendary for a reason, Contiki’s new brochure encapsulates all that the brand stands for – fun, adventure and flexibility at great value with many once in a lifetime opportunities to be experienced.”
As both budding and seasoned clients continue to save for lengthy overseas trips, many are also keen to explore their own backyards and their Tasman counterparts by embarking more frequently on short stays and week-long getaways. The 2012/13 Australia & New Zealand brochure has expanded its range to include both new and revised itineraries to further enhance your clients’ journeys offering them even more authentic and memorable experiences.
Featuring 12 exciting Australian itineraries, the brochure now includes a dedicated festival spread offering a 3-day from Brisbane and 5-day from Sydney tour of Splendour in the Grass which comprises the festival ticket, camping pass, breakfast daily and access to the exclusive Contiki chill out zone. Also new for Australia is a race day tour to Oaks Day (Ladies Day) at Flemington ex Sydney and Melbourne, and a return day trip to the Golden Slipper Stakes at Rosehill Gardens. Horse racing enthusiasts can relax and focus on the main event as transport to and from each race track, plus entry, are among the added features included in these packages.
Your clients can be assured when booking Contiki that they will make the most of their time by participating in a wide selection of Only Contiki activities. Among the many unforgettable experiences on offer, adventure seekers can look forward to 4WDriving around Fraser Island, tasting deliciously cooked kangaroo meat in Cairns, and sipping champagne and watching the sunset at Uluru. Contiki has since updated its brochure to also offer several new Sydney inclusions such as ferry rides to Manly Beach, dinner at Nick’s Seafood overlooking Darling Harbour and a day trip to the beautiful Blue Mountains.
New for New Zealand in 2012/13, many of the tours showcase their proud heritage with Maori names and Kiwi-isms mentioned throughout the brochure. With so much to see and do in New Zealand, most of the eight diverse itineraries list longer tour durations allowing your clients to uncover more of the north and south islands. Among the featured itineraries, Contiki offers a 7-day Ultimate NZ Ski trip where snowboarders and skiers can hit the slopes of Queenstown’s renowned ski fields. The brochure also comes with several new inclusions and experiences from conquering Sky Tower, the tallest building in Auckland, spending a night at the famous hot pools of Hanmer and a visit to Wanaka’s extraordinary ‘Puzzling World’, with Only Contiki. From sailing expeditions to cooking demonstrations, Contiki’s varied range of tours are designed to give your clients a hands-on experience of each place they visit.
After an action-packed day, guests can relax in good quality accommodation, centrally located in cities, with Contiki also offering some truly amazing overnight experiences as part of its Special Stays program, which includes a night under the stars in a swag in Kings Creek Station or a cool overnight experience at Franz Josef Glacier. Holiday-makers will travel in comfort and ease as the 2012/13 program now features later daily departure times and free WiFi on board many of the coaches in Australia and New Zealand.
Fiona Hunt added: “We’re incredibly proud of our 2012/13 brochure as it’s truly diverse product range includes many unique experiences giving 18-35s a chance to travel affordably with fun, like-minded people – making lasting friendships and cementing unforgettable memories.”
All of Contiki’s itineraries include accommodation, transport, many meals, the services of the experienced Contiki crew, sightseeing or orientation tours in each destination and a number of exclusive experiences all packaged into one great price.
