Scenic Tours, the leading operator of luxury escorted tours to Tasmania, are excited to announce the release of their new Tasmania program for 2013/2014, with a number of exciting enhancements. Tasmania is a destination of spectacular pristine wilderness and iconic colonial sites and there are a number of experiences that guests will only be able to enjoy with Scenic Tours.
One of the most exciting changes, and due to popular demand, is the extension of the stay in Tasmania’s Wilderness World Heritage area of Cradle Mountain, to two nights. As one of Australia’s most renowned wilderness areas, the exclusive two night stay will allow in-depth exploration of this iconic highlight. Last year, the stay at the Freycinet National Park, exclusive to Scenic Tours, was extended to two nights, where guests stay at the luxurious Freycinet Lodge uniquely located just inside the National Park. This means only with Scenic Tours, guests will now be able to enjoy two nights at Cradle Mountain Lodge and two nights at Freycinet Lodge both located within the boundaries of their respective National Parks.
Also new for 2013/2014, are some fantastic new experiences showcasing the unique wildlife and cuisine of Tasmania. Guests will discover fresh local cuisine at a highlight lunch at Sea Life Centre, overlooking picturesque Waub’s Bay on the East Coast and enjoy modern Australian fare on the waterfront in Launceston at Levee Food Co. They will be fascinated by the “Tassie Devil” at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and learn about the important breeding and rescue project for this unique endangered species during a private guided tour. The Tarkine Forest and Dismal Swamp promises an interesting discovery of this unique environment in Tasmania’s far North West.
There is also a host of new Scenic Enrich experiences, designed to culturally enhance the experience, such as the exclusive cruise in Captains Premier Upper Deck on the Gordon River. In addition Scenic FreeChoice activities provide the option for guests to choose what they enjoy the most at no extra cost. New for 2013/20134 in Hobart, guests may choose to be confronted by the world recognised MONA, learn about the history of hops on a tour of the Cascade Brewery, or discover Hobart and the Huon Valley on a private tour.
Scenic Tours are offering some fantastic Earlybird deals. Prices on the 13 Day Ultimate Tasmania start from $4,745 per person twin share including a saving of up to $500 per couple for those who book by
