2012 sees New Horizons Holidays’ release its most extensive Hong Kong program to date
15 February, 2012: New Horizons Holidays has rolled out its most extensive Hong Kong program to date, offering the trade more product options and greater choice than ever before. The 2012 Hong Kong program, which also covers mainland China, will hit agents’ shelves this week featuring the company’s fresh, new look, as well as more detailed destination information and tips on New Horizons Holidays’ favourite hotels and places to see.
The 2012 program has been carefully designed to offer agents a strong selling tool and a comprehensive reference covering the key regions of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, Macau, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and more.
Chris Evans, managing director, New Horizons Holidays said, “Agents will see that this really is our most comprehensive Hong Kong brochure yet, with more than 20 new hotels and new product added to our already impressive range across Hong Kong and China.
“One of the key areas we’ve focused on is offering more hotels on Hong Kong Island, in addition to the popular Kowloon area. Some of the newly added properties include the impressive Conrad Hong Kong, which sits at the heart of the popular shopping area of Pacific Place, Courtyard by Marriott, Ramada Hong Kong Island and L’Hotel Causeway Bay.
“We’ve also seen growing demand for side-trips, with more travellers adding a visit to mainland China onto their itinerary. In response, our 2012 program includes Guangzhou, the bustling capital of Guangzhou Province (formerly known as Canton), in Southern China, for the first time. The inclusion of Guangzhou, showcasing new hotels such as the Jianguo Hotel Guangzhou and The Westin Guangzhou, will provide further options for travellers and a gateway to the myriad sights mainland China has to offer. Adding to this, with China Southern now flying direct from Perth, we anticipate this region will perform very well.
“Hong Kong continues to appeal to a diverse range of travellers and as such it is expected to remain robust, with Hong Kong Disneyland set to be one of its many success stories. Families love the easy access and good value Hong Kong Disneyland represents, add to this the publicity surrounding the new Toy Story Land, and with two more new lands scheduled to open over the next 24 months, we expect to see this segment of the market grow.
“With so many options, the whole of Hong Kong definitely looks likely to remain a firm favourite with Australians as both a stop-over and stand alone destination in 2012.”
