On Friday September 6 women all over Australia, including television presenters, politicians, CEOs and thousands of women just like you will put on a little black dress and donate to Fitted for Work. They will wear either their own LBD or the new DL Initiative by David Lawrence, an LBD specifically designed for Little Black Dress Day.
Fitted for Work is a not-for-profit organisation providing interview-appropriate clothing, return-to-work training programs and ongoing mentorship to thousands of Australian women of all ages and needs. The mainly volunteer-based organisation is the first of its kind in Australia and 75% of women dressed and mentored by Fitted for Work have secured employment within three months of initial consultation.
Little Black Dress Day is our major fundraising initiative – Australian women empowering Australian women. Since 2005, we have helped more than 12,500 women experiencing disadvantage find employment – help us so we can continue to change the lives of our sisters.
