US agency SmartFlyer confirms joint venture with Goldman Travel.
New York-based travel agency group SmartFlyer has just announced a joint venture with Goldman Travel Corporation, launching SmartFlyer Australia as “the go-to company for Australian independent travel consultants”.
Set to officially debut here on 1 May 2015, SmartFlyer ceo Michael Holtz said the move will broaden the company’s reach to create a truly global community.
“In the US, we’ve successfully built a community of forward-thinking, social media savvy, next generation travel consultants,” he said.
Tom Goldman, executive chairman of Goldman Travel Corporation, said creating an independent contractor home-based model in Australia had been on the company’s agenda for some years.
“We are delighted to establish this joint venture with the best of the business, SmartFlyer,” he said.
Both agency groups are Virtuoso members,with SmartFlyer’s global network incorporating agents across the USA as well as in Canada, Hungary, Japan and the UK. There are also already two SmartFlyer affiliated members in Australia – Gloria Gammo and Brent Wallace.
