Direct 787-9 flights to commence operation in January 2018.
United Airlines has just announced the debut of daily direct flights between Houston and Sydney, marking the carrier’s third non-stop destination from Australia.
UA says it’s reaffirming its commitment to the hurricane-stricken American city, with the 8,596 mile sector being United’s second longest flight.
United president Scott Kirby said the airline’s Houston hub is stronger than ever “and it continues to be an absolutely vital part of our industry-leading network,” with connections from more than 70 cities across North America to the new Sydney service.
The aircraft used will offer 252 seats – 48 in Polaris business class, 63 Economy Plus seats and 141 seats in United Economy.
