Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines launch joint fare products.
Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia have just announced the release of joint Round the World and Circle Pacific Fares, which are available from 31 Virgin Australia ports across the country.
Using the new products, travellers departing from and returning to Australia can travel around the world on the carriers’ combined networks, with no restrictions on eligibility, the total number of stops made or minimum stays.
Round the World fares start at $2264 to 85 destinations in 35 countries, and must include a transatlantic and transpacific crossing which can only occur once on the fare, with a side trip from Singapore to Asia permitted.
Circle Pacific fares start at $1969 to 36 destinations in 13 countries, and must include a South Pacific and a North/Central Pacific crossing.
KrisFlyer and Velocity Frequent Flyer members wil also be able to accrue miles on the fares, with SIA regional vp Subhas Menon saying the new fares “offer a range of affordable and attractive travel options to Australian travellers with the convenience of combining travel to the USA, Europe and the Orient into one trip”.
Virgin Australia Group Executive of Alliances, Network & Yield, Merren McArthur said the announcement “underscores our comitment to offering guests a global network and competitive airfares.
“We are working closely with Singapore Airlines to ensure a seamless experience for guests, along with exceptional product and service,” she said.
The fares are on offer all year round and are only available in Australia, with consumers being referred to travel agents for more details and bookings.
