QStreaming on all Qantas B767 aircraft.
Qantas Domestic ceo Lyell Strambi has just announced the rollout of the QStreaming inflight entertainment system across its full 23-strong Boeing 767 fleet.
The move follows a successful trial of the service earlier this year, with QF to partner with Panasonic and use its eXW system to provide more than 200 hours of on-demand IFE content via iPads to every passenger in both Business and Economy classes on the aircraft.
“Our customers were the first in the world to experience the ground-breaking wi-fi entertainment technology and we received great feedback from our customers during the trial this year,” he said.
QStreaming will be offered free of charge to all passengers flying on the 767s, with the first aircraft to roll out in the fourth quarter of this year, operating mainly on east coast routes and also across to Perth.
Strambi said the launch of QStreaming was “part of a wider strategic investment across the domestic customer experience, including enhancements to ground operations and further domestic aircraft upgrades over the next few years”.
