Huge night of celebration for Australian travel industry.
The travel industry’s night of nights, the National Travel Industry Awards, has wrapped up, with many continuing to celebrate at the AFTA party upstairs at the Sydney Westin Hotel.
AFTA ceo Jayson Westbury paid tribute to the industry which turned out in its full finery for the sold-out celebrations, with many senior figures in attendance.
Among many highlights was a performance by The Voice contestant Darren Percival, while recently appointed Qantas Domestic ceo, Lyell Strambi, made his first public speech as he welcomed guests before unveiling the new Qantas TV commercial which airs from tomorrow.
