Robbie Cooke to leave Wotif at end of year.
Listed online travel agency Wotif.com has just announced the resignation of its ceo and managing director, Robbie Cooke.
He’s expected to leave the business at the end of 2012 “after seven years of successfully leading the team at Wotif and managing the emergence of the company from private ownership into a class leading ASX listed company”.
Chairman Dick McIlwain said Cooke had informed him that he wishes to step down “to pursue an opportunity outside the travel industry”.
“I know this decision would not have been an easy one given Robbie’s passion for Wotif and the online travel sector,” McIlwain said.
The Wotif board has commenced a process to appoint a new ceo.
