Around 150 trade partners, suppliers and travel agents attended Cox & Kings’ annual VIP event last night (Monday), this year with ‘An Evening in Switzerland’ theme.
Switzerland Tourism was the major sponsor of the function held at the Hofbrauhaus in Market Lane, Melbourne.
“Switzerland has long been one of our most popular destinations but the strong Australian dollar is making it more affordable and attractive than ever,” Cox & Kings Chief Executive Officer Steve Reynolds said.
“Switzerland offers great diversity in tourism including nature, culture, gastronomy and tradition. The country’s sublime Alpine landscapes, thousands of kilometres of scenic hiking trails, sophisticated cities, food and wine, famous rail journeys and open-mindedness make it one of Europe’s most popular destinations.”
An Evening in Switzerland was organised to thank travel agents for supporting the Cox & Kings brands – Tempo Holidays, Bentours, Cox & Kings Small Group Journeys and ezeego1 – with particular emphasis on their support for the Switzerland product range.
Numerous prizes were handed out with Daniel Price from TravelManagers Windsor taking home the top prize – return Etihad airfares to Switzerland and accommodation courtesy of Tempo. VIP guests included Honorary Consul of Switzerland Erika Kimpton and Rolf Huber from the Victoria Swiss Club. |
