Australian film director Rod Hardy has taken out the 2012 Ozcar award during a special industry function in Melbourne last week. The award is presented annually to a prominent personality, business leader or celebrity who has helped promote Australian products or the arts in the US. Previous winners of the “gong” include the Qantas US senior vice president and G’Day LA committee member Wally Mariani, Paul Lynch; and Sam Kekovich.
