THE Australian Federation of Travel Agents held its final Board of Directors meeting in Sydney yesterday at the offices of Corporate Travel Management.
The meeting. which included some of the trade’s top heirarchy, saw the AFTA Board reconfirm its current business plan along with a number of initiatives for 2012.
The Board also reaffirmed that travel industry reform is still very much on the agenda.
Qantas’ head of industry and corporate sales Karen Tsolakis also provided an update to the Board on its recovery measures and industry apology initiatives which follow the carrier’s entire fleet grounding in late Oct.
