Twenty new trips have been added to Peregrine’s 2014 Europe programme, including 13 countries that the travel company is venturing into for the first time – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and UAE.
Brand-new programmes in Scotland and Ireland, as well as Scandinavia and Eastern Europe have been added to an ever-expanding range of European highlights and unique local experiences.
“We’ve opened the doors to these destinations for the first time as we’ve identified them as emerging countries for those travellers who want a small group, intimate experience rather than coach bus tours that don’t allow you to really get under the skin of a destination,” said Steve Wroe, General Manager.
“Seeing the famous sites in Europe is a must but adding in off the beaten track countries like Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia provides those unique memories, whether it be while you wander through a small village, share dinner with a local family or stare in awe at rugged mountains.”
New trips include:
Azerbaijan, Georgia & Armenia: travel by road through some of the most spectacular mountain passes on earth and break freshly baked lavash bread with some of the most hospitable people on earth. You’ll see active mud volcanoes bubble, consume wine straight from its clay jar and visit monasteries hewn from rock in these untouched eastern countries.
From $3,880 per person.
Splendours of Scandinavia: fjords, mountains, waterfalls and glaciers make Scandinavia one of the most majestic regions in the world. Step on board the Flåm Railway, a feat of engineering genius that climbs to 2,838 feet in less than an hour through spectacular scenery. Visit historic villages and the cosmopolitan capitals of Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki. From $9,130 per person.
Celtic Villages and Islands: verse yourself in the traditions of Celtic culture, spanning from mythological fairies and banshees to ceremonies, festivals and rituals. Explore must-see spots in Edinburgh, Dublin and the legendary Loch Ness, as well as historical castles, rolling green hills, dramatic coastlines and wildlife. Enjoy a tour of the Tallisker whiskey distillery in Scotland and plenty of traditional Irish lunches with a pint of Guinness at local pubs.
From $7,545 per person.
For the first time in Peregrine’s history, all flights within the trips, permits and park fees are now included as part of the overall trip price, which make them fully commissionable for agents.
To celebrate the launch of its 2014 Europe programme, Peregrine is offering 10% off all brochure Europe tours (excluding Morocco) for bookings made before 31 October 2013 (quote discount code 1483 at the time of booking).
