Unique itineraries with intimate cultural experiences in small groups
Riki’s Tours Japan designs arranges, and escorts tours independently from beginning to end. This means you can trust Riki to care for your clients. The tours provide unique, and intimate experiences tailored for small groups of two to ten travellers. His tours will take your clients closer to sites of natural, historic and social interest, and include cross-cultural experiences such as sumo tournaments, Izakaya & Kaiseki dinners, and visits to Onsens and craft centres.
Enjoying good food that only a local expert knows how to find
Riki has a passion for simple and healthy seasonal Japanese food. Being in small group tours, he will take your clients to his favourite places to eat across the country, where they will have the chance to try specialties that local people enjoy. This can range from simple delights like a hearty bowl of ramen sold adjacent to a train station to his favourite restaurant in Kyoto, Wontana, where the attention to detail and service is delightful.
Rejuvenating day-walks through sacred areas of natural beauty
Many of Riki’s tours include rejuvenating day-walks through stunning natural environments. For instance, the City Lights & Alpine Trails tour will take your clients to a remote valley on the roof of Japan, and The North to Kamui Mintara tour take will take them through green canyons, by peaceful lakes and across mountain peaks in Tohoku and Hokkaido. The walks can be described as easy to moderate, and are suitable for most travellers. They are also designed so that they can be easily shortened or skipped if clients wish.
Staying in the best locations and experiencing a Ryokan or an Onsen Hotel
All accommodation is of at least three star standard and have been carefully chosen to give your clients a pleasant stay in the best locations without inflating the cost of the tours unnecessarily. Hotels and Ryokans (Japanese style inns) are specially selected to give great access to transport hubs, as well as shopping, restaurant and sightseeing experiences. All tours include a stay in at least one Ryokan or an Onsen Hotel (with a hot spring bath) so your clients can experience a holiday as the Japanese do.
