Star Alliance’s Australian members gathered in Sydney last week for the network’s annual conference, which naturally sported an Olympic theme.
With member carriers hailing from more than 25 different nations it was a truly international meet, with staff competing in a variety of classic events, including the three-person sack race, the ‘giant grundy grab’, rhythmic gymnastics and an equestrian extravaganza on inflatable ponies.
Star Alliance members also heard from a genuine and inspirational Olympic hero, Karni Liddell, who overcame a degenerative muscle wasting disease to become one of Australia’s most successful Paralympic swimmers.
