A group of lucky Flight Centre agents toured some of France’s greatest wine regions during an 11-day familiarisation combining Back-Roads Touring’s best-selling French itineraries.
Agents sampled the fragrant whites of Chablis, the classic reds of Burgundy and Champagne’s namesake sparkling wine, discovered the Loire Valley’s famous chateaux, enjoyed a sailing experience under the arches of Chateau de Chenonceau and learnt the art of French cooking.
The itinerary also included a visit to the Normandy beaches to see where the events of WWII unfolded, a wander through the picturesque harbour of Honfleur and Monet’s garden in Giverny before returning to Paris.
The famil was a combination of Back-Roads’ most popular France tours – La Belle France, Palaces & Chateaux of the Loire and Vintage France.
It also aimed to let agents experience the Back-Roads’ difference first-hand including its commitment to small group sizes of no more than 18, authentic local experiences, travel along the back roads instead of freeways and charming local accommodation.
Back-Roads Touring has over 25 years’ experience in small group and tailor-made tours across the UK and Europe.
