Emirates treated Canberra travel consultants to a special event last night when it hosted 70 agents at The Llewellyn Hall, ANU, for a concert by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
As the Principal Partner of the Sydney Symphony for eleven years, Emirates’ Regional Manager for NSW and ACT, Tim Harrowell and Sales Executive for Canberra, Byron Caygill hosted agents to thank them for their ongoing support. “Emirates is committed to nurturing our trade partnerships. It’s the travel trade that delivers around 80% of our revenue in Australia, and the ACT continues to grow as an important feeder-region for Emirates to Sydney, where we’ll soon have a second daily A380 service,” said Tim Harrowell, Emirates Regional Manager, NSW and ACT. “The special evening also allowed Emirates to introduce Bryon in his new role, and outline the benefits and workings of the Emirates-Qantas partnership first-hand,” Mr Harrowell concluded. The concert by the Sydney Symphony was a part of a regional tour which saw 65 Sydney Symphony and Sydney Symphony Sinfonia musicians and the Orchestra’s Assistant Conductor Jessica Cottis, accompanied by two tonnes of instruments ranging from double basses and trombones, through to flutes and oboes. The Orchestra will today work and perform with students at the Canberra School of Music in a series of master classes.
