TravelManagers’ personal travel managers Tracy Cosgriff and Angharad O’Malley, from Palm Beach, Queensland and Terrigal, New South Wales, have been recognized by Garuda Orient Holidays (GOH) as Top Ten Sellers.
The pair follows in the footsteps of other personal travel managers who have been named in the top ten in previous years, and were invited in March to join the eight other top-selling agents in Australia on an all expenses paid trip to Lombok and Bali, courtesy of Garuda Orient Holidays.
Deb Corbett, Marketing Manager for GOH said:
“We wanted to say thank you to our top sellers for their continued loyalty and support for Garuda Orient Holidays in 2012,” says Corbett. ”We know how precious their time is out of the office, so we made a conscious decision to make this trip short, Thursday to Sunday, whilst showing them parts of our wonderful product range. We also gave everyone Business Class return flights and separate accommodation. No sharing when you’re saying a massive thank you!”
Due to prior commitments O’Malley was unfortunately unable to join the trip, but Cosgriff says she made the most of it.
“We stayed two nights at the Pool Villa Club in Senggigi Beach in Lombok where we could walk to the neighbouring Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort and Santosa Villas, as well as the Senggigi Markets,” she said.
Cosgriff stayed the last night of the trip at the brand new Mulia Resort in Nusa Dua and was treated to a gala dinner and an awards night.
“It was incredibly satisfying to be recognized as the best in my field. Many of the other sellers in the top ten worked for traditional travel groups. I own my own business and have absolute work freedom. It shows me that TravelManagers mobile-based model of travel consulting is world-class and it suits me down to the ground.”
At the end of the long weekend, Cosgriff jumped at the chance to stay on longer and discover more of GOH’s product.
“Garuda Orient offered to organise more complimentary accommodation if we wanted it so I opted to stay for six more nights,” said Cosgriff. “I spread that across The Risata Resort in Tuban, the Kuta Paradiso at Kuta and then The Sense Resort in Seminyak.
“They were wonderful hosts and they’ll get the return on their generosity as now I’m able to pass on my first-hand experience to my clients and fellow personal travel managers,” said Cosgriff.
