NSW Tourism operators, get ready. The 2012 NSW Tourism Awards are now open for entries. At State Parliament House last night, the Tourism Industry Council of NSW urged all 7,000 industry operators in the state to submit their entries from which will be chosen “the best of the best”.
NSW Tourism Minister George Souris said by entering, operators will discover the benefits of what the awards can bring to their business.
.
The winners will be chosen over the coming months by the Council and Destination NSW and they’ll culminate at a prestigious Awards Ceremony and dinner in Sydney on 22 November 2012. They will then go on to compete in the National Awards in Hobart on 15 February, 2013. “I want all tourism businesses from across the industry to enter, tell your story and help us strengthen NSW’s global reputation for world-class tourism”, said Mr Souris. Last year, NSW outshone the other states in the nationals by taking home a record 11 titles, 6 silver and 3 bronze awards, the Minister added.
Entrants are invited to visit www.nswtourismawards.com.au to view entry criteria and to register.
