Territory Discoveries welcomes Tiger Airways to Alice Springs
April 23, 2013
Territory Discoveries hosted a group of 24 travel agents, in conjunction with Tourism NT, to celebrate the launch of Tiger Airway’s direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Alice Springs on the 9th April.
The famil was led by Kate Dancaster, Territory Discoveries BDE for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, and accompanied by Rebecca Orman, Marketing Executive for Territory Discoveries.
“We really wanted to warmly welcome back Tiger Airways to Alice Springs”, said John Di Maria, General Manager of Territory Discoveries, “and what better way to remind agents that they can make commissionable bookings through Territory Discoveries, than to bring them here to experience The Alice for themselves?”
The group enjoyed a warm reception upon arrival in Alice Springs, complete with a water cannon salute from the local fire brigade, as well of two days of touring in Alice Springs, including dining underneath the stars with Indigenous chef Bob Taylor of RT Tours and hot air ballooning.
Two randomly selected agents were also chosen as prize-winners to take their partner or family member back to Alice Springs. Congratulations to Kate McMahon of Flight Centre Engadine and also Jacki MacWilliams of Meridien Travel on winning this opportunity.
