Accor’s hotels in VIC/TAS/SA are challenging Travel Management Companies in Melbourne to a pinball challenge, which will see various TMC’s battle it out for the highest score, before it all comes to a head in December when the best teams vie for the Accor Pinball Champion of the Year.
Visiting eight organisations in total, each month an X-Men Pro Pinball machine will be delivered to a Travel Management Company’s office by Accor’s Regional Director of Sales and Marketing VIC/TAS, Gabi Vincent and her entourage. The team will then be challenged to bring their best pinballing skills for 30 days in order to gain a high score.
Kicking off the challenge is the team at Qantas Business Travel who received the machine today (3 April 2013).
At the end of the month, the TMC who has been in possession of the machine will register their top score by uploading a photo and answering questions about Accor hotels, before the machine is whisked away and delivered to another TMC.
After the pinball machine has done the rounds of eight TMC’s the person with the highest score in each office will playoff against each other in a battle to win ownership of the machine, valued at $6200.
With the idea of kick-starting some friendly competition with Accor’s top travel booking agents, Accor’s Regional Director of Sales and Marketing VIC/TAS, Gabi Vincent said “We owe a lot to our loyal travel bookers and wanted to do something fun. A lot of the travel management companies know one another and there is a healthy dose of rivalry there, so come December and the pinball playoffs I think the gloves will be off!”
