In conjunction with Thailand Tourism Board, Asia Escape Holidays recently held a ‘One Night in Thailand’ event at Cottesloe Beach Hotel, WA. The event attracted more than a dozen of the top Thailand hoteliers, 90 travel agents as well as Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Australia. Julie Schoneveld, Marketing Manager of Tourism Authority of Thailand gave a snapshot of the destination and shared a list of valuable statistics from recent market research conducted in Australia. This was followed by a series of presentations given by the hotel representatives and the event concluded with a prize draw generously sponsored by the attending hotels and airlines giving away accommodation and airfares. Thailand has always been one of the most popular holiday destinations amongst Australian travellers attracting a growing number of visitors each year. This event provided the agents with an opportunity to receive first-hand hotel and destination information, so they can continue to help consumers plan their holidays. |
