Sunday 20 January saw record numbers at Travelworld Hunter Travel Groups (HTG) Holiday and Cruise Expo. More than 12,000 people attended and with 40 travel consultants from HTG’s Hunter Region network of Travelworld/Cruise Travel Centre branded stores coupled with some team members from HTG’s JV travel operation RACT Travelworld Tasmania, well in excess of $2 million dollars in deposited bookings was transacted between 10.00am and 3.00pm.
Also launched on the day was HTG’s “Chance to Win One Million Dollars” promotion where one lucky client who books and pays in full for their holiday prior to the 31st March has a chance to win one million dollars. Brett Dann, HTG’s managing director commented, “There is not many opportunities where you have a chance to sell to 2400 people every hour for 5 hours straight, this was by far our best ever Travel Expo with deposited bookings up twofold on last year’s event, it was an incredible day and bodes well for a strong 2013 and who knows one of the people who attended (see pictures) may soon be one million dollars richer”. |
