P&O launches its biggest ever Australasian season.
P&O Cruises has just revealed details of its 2015-16 program, with the line to operate an unprecedented five vessels in local waters.
The fleet is being expanded with the additional Pacific Eden and Pacific Aria, and the season will kick off on 25 November 2015 where the new ships will join Pacific Dawn, Pacific Jewel and Pacific Pearl in Sydney Harbour for a five-ship display.
The 2016-16 program features 250 voyages with a host of maiden itineraries and inaugural port visits including Honiara in the Solomon Islands, Jakarta in Indonesia and Ko Chang in Thailand.
New domestic ports include Hamilton Island and Gladstone in Queensland,Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula and Esperance in Western Australia.
“With five ships in our fleet we can now meet the growing demand for cruise holidays from around Australia, with extended seasons from existing homeports and the addition of new homeports such as Cairns,” said Carnival Australia ceo Ann Sherry.
Pacific Eden will sail from Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Cairns and Singapore, while Pacific Aria will operate from Sydney and Brisbane. Pacific Jewel will sail from Sydney and Melbourne, Pacific Dawn will homeport from Brisbane and Pacific Pearl will cruise out of Sydney and Auckland.
