Air New Zealand ceo confirms fleet expansion.
Air New Zealand ceo Christopher Luxon has today announced orders for two additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
NZ already has three Dreamliners, with a further seven on firm order. The two additional planes are scheduled for delivery in late 2017 and early 2018 and will bring the total Air NZ 787-9 fleet to twelve, with a further six 787-9 options still available.
“This investment is possible as a result of our strong commercial results,” Luxon said.
“As the airlines’ commercial performance continues to improve, we are focused on reinvesting our profits directly back into the business on products, services and fleet to further enhance the customer experience and to ensure the business remains strong and competitive,” he added.
