Jetstar to fly Cairns-Bali, Melbourne-Wellington and reinstating Gold Coast-Perth.
Jetstar has just announced the debut of the first direct flights from Cairns to Bali, with thrice weekly services to debut from 31 March 2015.
Also new for Jetstar is a non-stop route between Melbourne and the NZ capital Wellington, which will operate four times a week from 30 March.
Jetstar Australia and New Zealand ceo David Hall has also confirmed the reinstatement of direct services between the Gold Coast and Perth, with the additions delivering up to 4,000 additional weekly seats across the Asia-Pacific network.
“We’re always looking to open up new travel opportunities for our customers and I’m delighted that we’re the first carrier to offer direct flights from Cairns to Bali,” he said.
The increased capacity is being implemented without the addition of any new aircraft, with Hall saying it was the result of a schedule revamp.
The Gold Coast-Perth route was suspended last year, but market conditions have now improved and Jetstar will operate up to six overnight services a week between the destinations from 29 March 2015.
