Direct Canada flights in June/July and December/January.
Qantas has just confirmed more seasonal direct flights between Sydney and Vancouver – this time for both winter and summer travel – with an extended schedule building on the inaugural December/January season targeting the ski market which has just wrapped up.
The carrier has announced a total of 33 direct flights, including 13 return services in June and July 2015 plus another 20 direct frequencies from mid-December through to late January 2016.
“Our direct Vancouver services proved really popular so we’re pleased to expand them this year, offering customers more flights on more days over winter and summer, and delivering another boost for inbound tourism for Austalia,” said QF executive manager international sales, Stephen Thompson.
The flights will utilise a 364-seat three cabin refurbished Boeing 747 aircraft. Fares are available from sale for today, with launch pricing starting at $1990 valid for sale until 09 Feb.
Thompson said the new schedule, made possible by Qantas’ continued focus on improving aircraft utilisation, would see services increase from two to three per week, with night flights in both directions to ensure customers can maximise their holiday time.
