Gaines to depart after seven years with the company, 15 months as chief executive.
Helloworld Limited has just announced its chief executive officer Elizabeth Gaines has tendered her resignation from Australia’s second largest retail travel consortia.
Chairman of the Board Brett Johnson expressed his disappointment but praised Gaines for laying the bedrock which has helped the company continue its transformation and set it up to remain strong “for the on-going growth and success of the business and our member agents”.
Gaines will remain in the role for a six-month notice period while the Board conducts a search for a replacement and undertakes a successful transition of responsibilities.
Gaines said the time was appropriate for a change of leadership and for her to “pursue other opportunities”.
“It has been a tremendous honour to work with the industry’s best and I will leave confident in the next stage in the evolution of Helloworld.”
