Deal aims to create opportunities for Air NZ, Flight Centre to grow revenue.
Air New Zealand has just announced a long-term strategic partnership agreement with Flight Centre, covering operations in New Zealand, Australia, USA , Canada and the UK.
The three year pact was signed in Brisbane by NZ ceo Christopher Luxon and Flight Centre Travel Group ceo Graham Turner, with Luxon saying the partnership “seeks to build deeper sales and market development opportunities, in addition to improving alignment with tourism board marketing opportunities”.
Luxon said partnerships with like-minded industry leaders are crucial to the airline’s success.
“Flight Centre brings unique, innovative propositions to our key markets and is the ideal partner to increase awareness and familiarity of our global network,” he added.
FCTG chief operating officer, Melanie Waters-Ryan said the company had enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Air NZ, and “we are delighted to expand our relationship globally”.
“Our aim will be to work proactively with Air New Zealand to promote its world class offerings to our leisure and corporate travel customers globally,” she said.
