Royal Caribbean confirms extension of 2018 Ovation season.
Royal Caribbean has just confirmed six extra Australian cruises in 2018 on board its new $1 billion cruise ship, Ovation of the Seas.
“Unpreceded popular demand” was the catalyst for the decision which will see the newbuild’s second Aussie season in Sydney extended by another five weeks.
New additions include an eight-night South Pacific sailing on 18 Feb from $1,449 pp, a five-night Tasmanian cruise departing 08 Mar from $1,049 pp, two 10-night New Zealand cruises leaving 13 and 26 Mar from $1,819 pp plus a new three-night sampler departing 23 Mar from $669 pp. All new sailings are roundtrips ex Sydney.
Also listed as a new addition is the 14-night repositioning cruise from Sydney to Singapore, departing 26 Mar.
Managing director for Royal Caribbean in Australia and New Zealand Adam Armstrong said the anticipation for Ovation of the Seas was so high they had chosen to extend her second season “before she has even commenced her first in Australia”.
