Joyce was hailed for “eminent service to the aviation transport industry, to the development of the national and international tourism sectors, to gender equity, inclusion and diversity, and to the community, particularly as a support of Indigenous education”.
Outgoing Etihad ceo James Hogan was named an Officer (AO) in the General Division of the Order of Australia “for distinguished service to the aviation transport industry, to the development of tourism and trade linkages between Australia and the Gulf States, and to international airline associations”.
Anna Guillan, regional director of sales and marketing for Australia/NZ for Kerzner International, was cited “for significant service to the Australian tourism industry, and to the community through support for social welfare and health organisations”.
And ACT-based Garry Watson, who has been a judge of the Australian Tourism Awards since 2001, was cited for “significant service to the tourism industry in the Australian Capital Territory, and to educational visitation initiatives”.
