Long term agreement with Mulpha also extends management of InterContinental Sanctuary Cove and InterContinental Sydney.
InterContinental Hotels Group will take over management of Hayman Island when it reopens in 2019, with the property to be rebranded as Hayman Island, by InterContinental.
The iconic resort was previously managed by One&Only, but that arrangement ended when Hayman was damaged in a cyclone last year.
The 166-room hotel is currently undergoing a significant refurbishment, and in addition to the hotel Mulpha Australia Limited will offer a “bespoke collection of homes for sale to those who want to own a piece of heaven”.
This morning’s announcement also confirms an investment into refurbishments and renewal at InterContinental Sydney as well as InterContinental Sanctuary Cove.
