Cruise Traveller to take over Australian representation of American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise Lines.
Cruise Office has just announced that intends to wind down its business over the next eight months, after years of representing several well-known cruise lines in the local markets.
The Australian representation for American Queen Steamboat Company (AQSC) and Victory Cruise Lines (VCL) will transfer to Cruise Traveller effective from next Mon 01 April. In addition, Aegean Odyssey, the ship operated by Voyages to Antiquity, Cruise Office’s other key partner, has been chartered on a long-term basis to a US tour company and no suitable replacement ship is readily available to continue offering destinational itineraries.
David Bunn of Cruise Office thanked all of the travel agencies and consultants who had supported the business over the years. He said all current terms and promotional support with agents and wholesalers will continue unaltered, with the full support of Cruise Traveller.
From next Mon 01 April all AQSC 2020 season bookings will open for sale with Cruise Traveller, and from 01 May the same will apply for VCL 2020 season bookings. All deposited and fully-paid FIT or group 2019 departure bookings will continue to be processed by Cruise Office throughout the remainder of the year.
Cruise Traveller MD Craig Bowen said his company was excited at the opportunity to take on the exclusive representation of AQSC and VCL. “Both these boutique products perfectly fit the style and expertise of our company that we have developed over the past 16 years,” he said.
