NTIA 2020 cancelled due to COVID-19 financial pressures on industry.
The Board of the Australian Federation of Travel Agents has just confirmed a decision made today that “it would be inappropriate to proceed with the 2020 National Travel Industry Awards”.
Scheduled for July this year at Sydney’s International Convention Centre, the annual industry night of nights will now not take place, “given the current landscape and the increasing financial pressures on everyone”.
A full refund of all monies paid will be provided in the coming weeks, including all sponsorship fees and any pre-purchased tickets.
AFTA thanked sponsors for their support, saying: “When the economy recovers, which it will, we look forward to working with you as we plan a spectacular NTIA 2021”.
