New Aeronology travel advisor hub aims to help agents ride the recovery.
Australian travel technology provider Aeronology has revealed details of Aeronology Mobile, described as a “world-first travel agent application that promises to help travel advisors rebound with a sophisticated and seamless global online, mobile and full-service travel booking toolbox”.
Aeronology CEO Russell Carstensen said the system would change the industry, allowing advisors to keep all commission via the affordable, user-pays one-stop-shop application.
He said the system was the result of 20 years of understanding the needs and requirements to be a profitable and effective travel advisor.
“We have built a travel technology service which doesn’t require licences, set-up fees or base costs,” he said, with Aeronology also able to provide preferred GDS services via Sabre, Travelport or TravelSky. Agents can also use their own GDS contract, and the platform is expected to also offer direct connect NDC content from a range of carriers.
“Aeronology Mobile is the perfect tool for independent travel advisors, or agents who are members of consortiums, their consultants or individuals who want to operate as sole traders,” he said, adding that the system would create the “lowest cost of sale in the market” and eliminate the need for monthly mid-office licence fees.
