Rebound gathers pace for Qantas and Jetstar.
Qantas has revealed that group domestic capacity will reach 90% of pre-COVID levels by Q4 2021 following strong local leisure travel demand.
The company added that Jetstar would rebound to above its pre-COVID capacity levels by the same period and that as a result it will be deploying up to five Boeing 787-8 aircraft on domestic routes to keep pace with growth.
Usually flown on international routes, the jets will initially be flown between Sydney/Melbourne/Gold Coast and Melbourne/Sydney/Cairns.
The carrier also unveiled more details regarding the opening of its premium lounges and commitment to international restart dates.
