Rex jet fleet grows to eight, with new routes to be announced shortly.
Regional Express has just confirmed a Letter of Intent for the addition of two more Boeing 737-800NGs to its nascent fleet, with the additional aircraft expected to arrive in August for entry into service in September.
Rex Deputy Chairman John Sharp said the expansion would give the carrier the ability to launch new routes to other capital cities, large regional centres and popular leisure destinations.
He said a further two aircraft were likely to be added before the end of the year. “Rex invites expressions of interest from lessors for these two aircraft, as well as from cities that are keen to finally put an end to the price gouging they have been subject to for too long,” Sharp concluded.
