Trafalgar and Contiki MD Katrina Barry becomes an AFTA Director.
The Australian Federation of Travel Agents has just confirmed the election of directors for 2021, with The Travel Corporation’s Katrina Barry voted in as a new entrant to the AFTA Board.
Barry was elected alongside five incumbents: Laura Ruffles from Corporate Travel Management; Webjet’s Shelley Beasley; David Padman from Helloworld Travel; American Express GBT’s Jo Sully; and Christian Hunter from Travellers Choice.
Also standing but missing out on election were Paul Gorman from Luxury Escapes; BCD Travel MD Tass Messinis; Thuy Carroll from Tweet World Travel; and David Greenland from Reed & Mackay who leaves the AFTA Board just over three months after filling a casual vacancy.
About 40 people attended the AGM this morning which was conducted virtually via Zoom due to the current COVID lockdowns.
