The Travel Corporation confirms death of Stanley Tollman.
Stanley Tollman, the founder and chairman of The Travel Corporation, has died in the south of France aged 91, following a battle with cancer.
Tollman is celebrated as one of the architects of the global tourism industry, having created a business which now encompasses more than 40 award-winning brands including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Contiki Holidays, AAT Kings, Adventure World Travel, Red Carnation Hotels and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises.
Today The Travel Corporation has more than 10,000 employees and operations in 70 countries worldwide, while the company’s Treadright Foundation reflects Tollman’s long-time commitment to sustainable tourism which he championed long before “sustainability” became a global, industry-wide call to action.
