QF A380s return to Melbourne, and MEL-LAX frequencies to double.
Qantas has this afternoon announced the launch of a new direct Boeing 787 service between Melbourne and Dallas Fort Worth, along with a significant increase in capacity out of Los Angeles.
The new MEL-DFW service will debut on 02 December with four weekly frequencies, and will be the first time any airline has operated direct services operated on the route.
In addition, another four weekly 787 return flights will operate between Melbourne and Los Angeles from this week, boosting frequencies to eight, while the carrier’s refurbished Airbus A380 superjumbos will also resume some of these MEL-LAX services from December.
The Qantas Melbourne International Business Lounge reopened today for the first time since the start of the pandemic, while the Melbourne First Lounge has now reverted to the full premium offering.
MEANWHILE Qantas also today resumed domestic flights between Sydney and Uluru, with four weekly Boeing 737 flights to support the destination’s post-pandemic tourism recovery.
