James Kavanagh to become Global Leisure CEO, while Melanie Waters-Ryan will focus on supply.
Flight Centre has just announced an amended global leadership structure, saying the move will see it “proactively target new opportunities across its three core business units”.
Melanie Waters-Ryan will move aside from her current position heading up Flight Centre’s global leisure operations to focus on her “increasingly important role as Supply CEO,” with responsibility for all supplier relationships and commercial arrangements, the company’s wholesale business and “product procurement and delivery at a time when traditional travel distribution models are being disrupted”.
James Kavanagh, currently FCTG’s Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, will become the company’s Global Leisure CEO, while Chris Galanty will continue as Global Corporate CEO. All three will report to MD Graham Turner.
The company said Waters-Ryan would also play a key role in the ongoing development and integration of the TP Connects technology business, of which Flight Centre recently boosted its ownership to 70%.
