Record underlying profit before tax recorded by Qantas in its latest financial update.
Qantas has joined a host of travel brands reporting a positive financial rebound for the latest half-yearly period ending 31 December 2022.
Highlights included a big turnaround in profits for the latest six months, moving from a loss of $1.27 billion in the corresponding 2021/22 period to a $1.428 billion profit in the latest reporting timeframe.
The carrier also achieved record first-half results across its loyalty division, as well as Qantas domestic and Qantas international operations, while net debt was also down to $2.4 billion, below the optimal net debt target range.
