Half a million new low fares also unlocked through new Jetstar deal.
Jetstar will begin operating direct flights between Brisbane and Tokyo (Narita), Osaka and Seoul as a result of the new deal with Brisbane Airport, forged in a bid to open up more travel capacity between Qld and Asia.
Frequencies to Bali from Brisbane will also be increased from 10 February 2024, while the Brisbane and Auckland route will also see capacity ramped up from 29 October 2023.
However, the swathe of new routes will result in the Gold Coast to Tokyo (Narita) route being a casualty of the restructure, winding up on 29 October 2023.
The deal will also see Jetstar launch an additional 500,000 low fare seats between Brisbane and international destinations.
