Industry night of nights set to honour excellence in 36 categories.
AFTA has just opened nominations for the 2023 National Travel Industry Awards, in a program of categories agreed upon by the newly appointed NTIA Custodians.
This year there will be 36 award categories, including 27 “Most Outstanding” judged categories, seven “Most Popular” voted categories and two “People’s Choice” consumer campaigns.
Additions to the Cruise, Airline, Tour Operator and Wholesaler categories reflect the industry’s strong growth, AFTA said, while the 2023 NTIAs will also reintroduce awards for the best Business Events Travel Agency and Car Rental Operator as well as a brand new Innovation in Travel Support Services category.
ATAS accreditation is a prerequisite for travel consultant, agency, tour operator and wholesaler categories “as this recognises their continued commitment to elevating the standards of our sector,” AFTA said.
CEO Dean Long thanked the Custodians, Ann-Catherine Jones, Barbara Whitten, Tony Gothard, Jean Summers, Damian Borg and Chris Fundell for their ongoing help in shaping the NTIAs, representing key markets within the sector including retail, corporate, online, tour operator, wholesalers and suppliers.
The industry night of nights will take place on Saturday 18th November at the Crown Palladium Ballroom in Melbourne.
