Qantas to fly in new direction with new executive structure revealed.
Qantas has announced a number of changes to its senior management team as it prepares to transition from the Joyce leadership to a new structure under incoming chief Vanessa Hudson.
Among the big changes is a new CEO of Qantas Domestic, with Markus Svensson to take on this position following the retirement of Andrew David in September, while Catriona Larritt will take on the Chief Customer and Digital Officer role.
Rob Marcolina has also been named to fill the Chief Financial Officer position after previously holding the Qantas Group Executive of Strategy, People and Technology role.
Newly-created positions will also form part of the big executive shake-up, including a dedicated Chief People Officer, which is yet to be filled, as well as a new Chief Risk Officer position, which has been handed to current Qantas Executive, Andrew Monaghan.
“The structural changes announced today are about increasing our focus on a few key areas as we move from recovery to growth, especially when it comes to things that matter most to our people and our customers,” incoming CEO Vanessa Hudson said.
